District Albertsons Closes
Already short on supermarkets, residents of the Richmond District
now have one less place to shop for groceries. On July 30, the
Albertsons store at 32nd Avenue and Clement Street went out
of business, less than four years after opening its doors to
neighborhood customers.
Park Presidio Blvd./19th
Avenue Upgrade Coming
The San Francisco County Transportation Authority (SFCTA) and
Caltrans plan to begin a major upgrade and retrofit of 19th
Avenue and Park Presidio Boulevard (also known as California
Highway 1) in the fall of 2006.
Groups Celebrate
Open Golden Gate Park Roads
Members of 37 San Francisco organizations came together in
Golden Gate Park July 12 to honor the work done to keep some
of the roads in the east end of Golden Gate Park open on Saturdays.
