Works to Restore African-American Heritage
Sunset District artist Katie Mallory is on a mission to give African
Americans something back that was taken from them long ago - a sense
of their ancestors' culture and history.

A remarkable group of people meet at St Paul's Presbyterian Church
Hall on Monday evenings. They call themselves the Caper Cutters and
they have been active fostering the arts in the realm of line, round
and square dancing for the past 60 years.

Fights Eviction of GG Park Recycling Center
At two recent San Francisco Board of Supervisors hearings, Supervisor
Ross Mirkarimi slammed the procedures that the City's Recreation and
Park Department (RPD) and the SF Department of the Environment both
used while trying to evict the Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Council (HANC)
recycling center from Golden Gate Park.
