        A large development proposed for Sloat Boulevard in the Outer Sunset 
          District will come under scrutiny in April when the SF Planning Commission 
          considers an appeal to a negative environmental impact declaration issued 
          in October. 
Mental Health Cuts Could 
          Hit Hard 
         San Francisco's city health director, Dr. Mitchell Katz, proposed 
          budget cuts to the health commission on Feb 19 that will greatly impact 
          Sunset Mental Health and its ability to serve the mentally ill, seniors, 
          homeless and children with emotional or psychological problems.

        This past Feb. 25 was the deadline for potential candidates to proclaim 
          their intentions to seek election to the 12th Congressional District 
          seat that is now vacant with the passing of Congressman Tom Lantos.

        Twenty second graders from Ulloa Elementary School performed an animal-themed 
          skit on Valentine's Day to celebrate the Doggie Diner icon located near
