Ed Jew Wins Election as Sunset Supervisor

Sunset District native Ed Jew has been declared the unofficial winner of the District 4 supervisorial election, utilizing the newly-implemented ranked choice, or "instant run-off," voting system to go over the top. It is the first time in Sunset District history that the District 4 election will not be decided by a December run-off election.

Plan to Restore Sunset Rec. Center Advances

The Sunset Playground and Recreation Center is a busy three-acre spot. Established at 28th Avenue and Lawton Street in 1940, it continues to serve as an "all-in-one" facility for families and schools in the community. But supporters say the site's 60-plus years are showing - outdated equipment and a leaky roof. Now, there is some action to improve conditions at the neighborhood facility.

VegNews Fuels Movement to Eat Less Meat
