The San Francisco County Transportation Authority (SFCTA) and Caltrans
plan to begin a major upgrade and retrofit of 19th Avenue and Park Presidio
Boulevard (also known as California Highway 1) in the fall of 2006.

Celebrate Open Golden Gate Park Roads
Members of 37 San Francisco organizations came together in Golden Gate
Park July 12 to honor the work done to keep some of the roads in the
east end of Golden Gate Park open on Saturdays.

On May 12, Virginia Ganzon-Sturwold, 82, was in utter disbelief as
she held on to the arm of a handsome Marine while walking up to a podium
in the East Room of the White House to receive the President's Volunteer
Service Award from President George W. Bush.
