S.I. Gets OK to Expand Outer Sunset Campus
The SF Planning Commission voted unanimously Oct. 6 to approve St. Ignatius College Preparatory's application to construct a three-story, 15,450-square-foot addition to its existing student center. The school is located at 2001 37th Ave.

Low Risk Motivates Illegal Demolitions
With planning policies making it more difficult to destroy existing houses, some people are using loopholes in the demolition ordinance to tear down buildings using alteration permits, and the few that get caught can expect to have their cases over-ruled when they go before the SF Board of Appeals.

25th Anniversary at Le Video
Le Video celebrated its 25th anniversary in July. City Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi was at the store July 24 to present a commendation from the SF Board of Supervisors, which passed a resolution declaring the day "Le Video Day." Mirkarimi, a long time Le Video customer, praised the store for its independence and quality over the years.
