Outer Sunset Housing Project Scaled Back
A plan to convert the closed Rivendell School in the Outer Sunset District into housing and commercial space was pared down Oct. 1 by the SF Board of Supervisors. The site, located at 4501 Irving St., was originally given the green light for a four-story structure, 40 feet tall, with 10 units of housing.

Coalition Threatens to Halt VA Research Center
A coalition of four local organizations put the VA Medical Center on notice in September that it will file a lawsuit to stop the medical center from building a new 200,000-square-foot research center at its Fort Miley site if the VA continues to violate federal laws.
