Driving Under the Influence of Narcotics: July 4, 8:32 p.m., Masonic Avenue and Geary Boulevard
Officers responded to conduct a well-being check on a male who was passed out in the driver's seat of a stationary vehicle.

While conducting the check, officers determined that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of suspected narcotics.

After their investigation, the driver was booked for driving under the influence.

Expired Vehicle Registra­tion: July 6, 10:54 a.m., Fulton Street
A driver was cited after knowingly using his vehicle for six months even though it was unregistered.

Additionally, he did not have a valid driver's license.

Reckless Driving: July 8, 10:10 p.m., Geary Boulevard and 18th Avenue
Officers observed a white Mercedes driving in an unsafe and erratic manner, so they followed the vehicle along Park Presidio Boulevard, seeing multiple unsafe and abrupt lane changes.

The officers initiated a traffic stop and cited the driver for reckless driving and various other vehicle code violations.

Robbery, Reckless Driving: July 9, 10:24 a.m.
An auto burglary was reported to the police.

Upon their arrival at the scene, the officers observed a male and female parked in a vehicle which matched the description provided. After refusing to comply with verbal commands given by the officers, the vehicle fled the area. Amidst the escape effort, the driver of the vehicle managed to hit multiple vehicles.

The vehicle was spotted a short distance away by another responding unit. Those officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle once again increased speed and fled. Due to the initial call being a property crime, the officer did not follow the vehicle for safety and policy reasons.

While the initial responding officers were making the auto burglary report they were notified that the suspect vehicle was stopped in another police district. The male suspect ran from the scene of the traffic stop on foot but a female occupant was arrested.

Driving Without a License, Headlights: July 16, 1:20 a.m., Geary Boulevard
A vehicle was traveling on Geary Boulevard without its lights on. Officers observed the occurrence, initiated an enforcement stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver.

A computer check revealed that the driver's license was suspended for a prior violation. The driver was cited at the scene for the violations.

Robbery: July 16, 12:20 p.m., Ninth Avenue and Lake Street
A suspect fled to a waiting camper-type vehicle after snatching the purse of a 68-year-old woman. The victim reported that a female suspect shook her violently before stealing her purse.

The escape vehicle was navigated by a male driver, which fled in an unknown direction. The victim was not hurt and a passerby assisted until police responded.

Police saturated the area in an effort to locate the fleeing vehicle, but to no avail. Responding officers assisted the victim in getting to her banking institution, which confirmed that a credit card transaction had occurred 16 minutes after the robbery.
