Vehicular Vandalism: Aug. 21, 8:20 p.m., Golden Gate Park
A man was walking to his vehicle, which was parked near John F. Kennedy and Chain of Lakes drives, when he heard a loud crash coming from the direction of his vehicle.

As he got closer, he saw a suspect leaning into the vehicle through a now-broken window.

The victim yelled and the suspect took off running, without getting any of the victim's personal property.

Stolen Vehicle: Aug. 20, 4:36 p.m., 19th Avenue and Irving Street
Two Richmond Station officers were positioned at 19th Avenue and Geary Boulevard while dispatchers monitored the progress of a stolen vehicle via GPS. When the vehicle drove southbound on Park Presidio Boulevard and stopped in the Sunset District, the officers were dispatched to the area and arrested and booked two male suspects, aged 27 and 35 years of age.

Malicious Vandalism: Aug. 18, 7:30 p.m., Golden Gate Park
Park rangers responded to a report of a man breaking branches off of trees near the area of Martin Luther King Jr. and Chain of Lakes drives.

When rangers approached the suspect, they witnessed the 65-year-old suspect still in the act of destruction. The suspect, who had been arrested in the park on July 10 for the same crime, was arrested and booked.

Armed Robbery: Aug. 18, 2:37 a.m., 3400 Block of Sacramento Street
A man was walking down the street when a suspect approached, pointed a handgun at him, and demanded his possessions.

The victim gave up his backpack, which contained a wallet, cell phone and lap-top computer.

The suspect, who was between 20 and 25 years of age, fled northbound on Walnut Street to a waiting older-model, tan-colored vehicle.

Burglary: Aug. 17, Between Midnight and 6:30 a.m., 3700 Block of Clay Street
A brazen suspect entered a home, apparently via an unlocked back door, and took two bowls and an iPad while the residents were asleep.

Possession of Narcotics, Outstanding Warrants: Aug. 13, 10:24 p.m., Seventh Avenue and Fulton Street
A citizen reported suspicious persons hanging out in the area and called police.

Officers responded to the scene and contacted the suspects, one of whom was in possession of suspected narcotics and was on probation from previous narcotics violations.

The suspect was arrested.

Armed Robbery: Aug. 11, 4 p.m., 3100 Block of Geary Boulevard
Multiple police units responded to a robbery-in-progress call at a business. Two suspects, one armed with a handgun, entered the business and took cash before fleeing.

Officers were unable to locate the suspects, but were checking nearby surveillance tapes for clues.

The investigation continues.

Aggravated Assault: Aug. 11, 5:27 p.m., 24th Avenue and Fulton Street
Officers responded to a call of an assault and discovered one of the combatants, who had been struck in the face.

A description of the other combatant was broadcast and an alert Richmond Station officer discovered the suspect eight blocks away.

After getting a positive identification, the suspect was arrested on an assault charge.

Driving with Suspended License, Outstanding Warrant: Aug. 10, 2:18 p.m., 22nd Avenue
A motorcycle officer observed a driver go through a stop sign without stopping and enacted a traffic stop.

The driver had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant arrest for a similar type of infraction in another county.

The suspect was cited and the vehicle was towed.

Driving with a Suspended License: Aug. 8, 2:42 a.m., Geary Boulevard
An officer on patrol noticed a bicycle rider making an unsafe lane change while riding eastbound on Geary Boulevard. The officer enacted a traffic stop and discovered the rider had a suspended/revoked driver's license.

The bicycle driver was cited for a misdemeanor offense of driving with a suspended license.

Burglary: Aug. 7, 5 a.m., 200 Block of 27th Avenue
An unknown suspect used a crowbar to force open the front door of a residence. Once inside, the suspect took property before fleeing.

Bank Robbery: Aug. 1, 12:50 p.m., 24th Avenue and Geary Boulevard
Three male suspects entered a bank brandishing handguns and demanded money. One of the bank tellers was injured slightly after being hit on the head with a gun by one of the suspects.

As they exited the building, the suspects pushed customers aside in their haste to leave.

Numerous police units responded to the scene and canvassed the area, to no avail.

An undetermined amount of money was taken.

Attempted Homicide: July 28, 29th Avenue and Geary Boulevard
Officers responded to a report of multiple gunshots and discovered a male, in his 30s, lying on the ground with numerous gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a hospital while multiple units searched unsuccessfully for the suspect.
