Robbery, Possession of Stolen Property: Dec. 19, 11 p.m., 33rd Avenue and Geary Boulevard
A woman was riding on a bus when two men passed her to exit. Suddenly, one of the men grabbed her iPhone and both suspects jumped off the bus.

The woman screamed and ran after the suspects while a witness called police and gave a description of the suspects. Numerous officers responded and the suspects were located near 25th Avenue and Clement Street. The suspect with the stolen phone tried to hide it in a nearby planter box but officers saw the move and counter-moved. Checkmate - the two suspects, both 15 years of age, were booked on numerous charges and transferred over to the juvenile justice system for judgment.

Theft: Between Dec. 16, at 5 p.m., and Dec. 19, 9 a.m., Golden Gate Park
A city employee reported that someone broke into a pump house near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Lincoln Way. Copper drainpipes were stolen.

Armed Robbery, Assault: Dec. 16, 4:54 p.m., 5500 Block of Geary Boulevard
Three men wearing masks entered a jewelry store to rob it. One of the suspects started smashing jewelry cases and grabbing jewelry while the other two suspects, who were armed, started fighting with store employees. The suspects then fled southbound on 20th Avenue.

One of the victims sustained a minor injury. The investigation is ongoing.

Vandalism: Dec. 15, 1:55 a.m., Third Avenue and Geary Boulevard
A report came in about two men who were writing graffiti on the side of a truck. When officers arrived at the scene, the caller pointed out one of the suspects and identified the vandalized vehicle.

One suspect took off running, but the other, a 29-year-old man, was apprehended.

"Is this about the truck, sorry about that," the suspect said.

The suspect was booked.

Attempted Armed Robbery: Dec. 15, 7:50 p.m., 400 Block of 26th Avenue
A man had just opened the gate of his residence and stepped inside the foyer when the suspect came up from behind and stepped inside. He shut the gate behind him so the victim was trapped.

The suspect told the victim to remain calm but he started screaming, causing the suspect to pull out a knife and point it at the victim's face.

The suspect, described as being in his early 30s, asked for money but fled before getting any when the victim's relatives pulled into the driveway.

The suspect fled eastbound on Clement Street. The victim was not hurt.

Burglary: Dec. 14, Between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Unit Block of Jordan Avenue
An unknown suspect(s) entered a residence by prying open a rear door and took jewelry and cash before fleeing.

Hot Prowl Burglary: Dec. 14, 10 p.m., 2900 Block of Lake Street
The residents in a home were alerted when their burglar alarm went off. One of the residents went downstairs to investigate and discovered a sliding glass door open.

The residents exited the house and waited for police to arrive. Officers found a back door whose louvered windows had been removed. The suspect made entry and took several items before fleeing out of the opened sliding glass door.

Aggravated Assault, Auto Theft, Narcotics Violations: Dec. 7, 2:08 a.m., 700 Block of 30th Avenue
A call came in to dispatch concerning a suspicious vehicle. When officers arrived, they discovered the vehicle running with loud music playing. The driver was slumped over.

When the suspect was awakened, he turned off the engine as directed but he turned it back on when one of the officers started to check the vehicle's identification (VIN) number. While officers demanded he turn off the car, the suspect started revving the engine. Finally, one of the officers was able to reach in and turn the vehicle's engine off.

When the officers tried to get the 28-year-old suspect out of the vehicle, he resisted, kicking the officers and thrashing about. He was eventually subdued and handcuffed.

Officers discovered that the vehicle was stolen and there was a large amount of suspected narcotics inside.

Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Public Intoxication: Dec. 3, 1:43 a.m., Third Avenue and Geary Boulevard
An officer on patrol noticed a large fight outside a bar and called for backup. The officer, and other officers responding to the scene, started to disburse the crowd when they noticed another fight inside the bar. They determined that one of the combatants was the bar's bouncer and the other the suspect.

When they tried to take the 27-year-old suspect into custody, he resisted, resulting in one officer being injured and transported to a hospital for treatment.

Malicious Mischief: Dec. 3, Between 12 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., 30th Avenue and Balboa Street
An unknown suspect(s) used a BB Gun to shoot out the windows of 10 different vehicles.
