Fire: Jan. 27, 1:45 a.m., Golden Gate Park

Officers responded to a call of a fire near Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park. Firefighters had arrived first and extinguished the fire, which was inside of a metal garbage can.

The fire was caused by a homeless man who was trying to dry off his clothing and sleeping bag. He was released at the scene.

Narcotics Violation, Driving with a Suspended License: Jan. 26, 12:30 a.m., Fourth Avenue and Geary Boulevard

Officers on patrol conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver was using a suspended license.

While inspecting the vehicle before having it towed, officers discovered narcotics in the center console. The driver admitted the drugs were his and asked the officers to "throw it away."

The 32-year-old suspect was booked.

Burglary: Jan. 20, Between 9:35 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., 200 Block of Willard North

A suspect pried open the front door of a residence in an apartment building and took laptop computers, cameras and jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Burglary: Jan. 19, between 6:40 and 9:50 p.m., 300 Block of Second Avenue

An unknown suspect broke a window of a business before entering and stealing computer equipment. He escaped.

Robbery: Jan. 19, 9:56 a.m., 3200 Block of Geary Boulevard

Two unknown suspects entered a business wearing dark clothes with their faces covered. One of the suspects grabbed an employee by the throat, causing the victim to scream.

The suspects grabbed two televisions before fleeing.

Robbery: Jan. 18, 10:45 p.m., Geary Boulevard and Baker Street

A man was riding the Muni #38 bus with his iPhone in his hand.

When the man exited the bus, an unknown suspect, who was sitting behind the victim, got off the bus and followed him.

As the victim was waiting to cross the street, the suspect demanded the iPhone.

When the victim said "no," the suspect, described as being in his late teens with a shaved head, grabbed the phone out of his hand and ran.

Robbery: Jan. 14, 2:40 a.m., 500 Block of Sixth Avenue

The male victim was walking home when two suspects, armed with knives, demanded money and property.

The victim complied with the robbers' demands and they fled eastbound on Anza Street. The victim was unharmed.

Arson, Burglary: Jan. 11, 12:25 a.m., 700 Block of 39th Avenue

A woman went out to her vehicle and noticed the driver's seat on fire. She extinguished the flames and noticed personal property had been taken from the vehicle.

The unknown suspect(s) escaped.

Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools: Jan. 10, 2 p.m., 400 Block of Ninth Avenue

A woman went to the laundry room on the first floor of her apartment building and saw a man she did not recognize as a tenant. When she saw that the man was wearing her son's shoes, she ran towards the street, where a neighbor called police.

The suspect ran out of the building and jumped over a fence to make his way toward Geary Boulevard.

Officers responding to the scene located the suspect and arrested him.

Carjacking: Jan. 10, 1:15 p.m., Pacific and Scott Streets

A man was sitting in his vehicle when the suspect, armed with a hand gun, opened the passenger door and jumped in.

The suspect struck the victim and demanded money before ordering the victim to drive off.

While driving on Interstate 280, the 30- to 40-year-old suspect pushed the victim out of the vehicle and drove off. The vehicle is still missing.

The victim was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Robbery: Jan. 4, 9:35 a.m., 39th Avenue and Balboa Street

A woman had just left a bank after making a cash withdrawal when a male suspect, between 20 and 25 years of age, ran up from behind and grabbed the money out of the victim's pocket.

The suspect fled northbound on 39th Avenue.

Auto Burglary: Jan. 2, 4:30 p.m., Golden Gate Park

A report came in to dispatch concerning two suspects who had just broken into a vehicle parked near the Academy of Sciences.

With a description of the suspects provided by the witness, officers were able to locate one of the suspects at Clement Street and Second Avenue. The 39-year-old male was transported to the police station and booked.

Burglary: Jan. 2, 6:20 p.m., 600 Block of 22nd Avenue

A suspect went into an open garage and rode off with the victim's bicycle. A neighbor saw the theft and informed the victim.
